Tom Cowan is an internationally known artist
listed in the Who’s Who of American Art. Private and public
collections include President Ronald Reagan and President George H.
Bush, R.J. Reynolds, Bank of America, First Union Bank, Jane Fonda,
Rush Limbaugh and Dale Earnhart. Some of his showcase were
displayed at the Hunter Museum in Chattanooga, TN, The N.C. Art
Museum, Greenville Art Museum S.C. and the Hickory Art Museum in
Hickory NC, Tom was the feature artist at the 1982 Worlds Fair in
Knoxville, TN. Tom is also a life member of the Whiskey Painters of
America (W.P.A) and an associate of the Akron Artist Society. Tom
apprenticed with John Pike, N.A. Further studies include Ringling
School of Art, N.C. School of the Arts and the Art Students League
of New York City. Tom was also twice Artist–In-Residence for the
N.C. Arts Council.
